Sap Solution Manager 7.2 Customer Value Map

It's been just over three weeks since we had the opportunity to welcome several Irish customers for the SAP Solution Manager 7.2 Roadshow in the SAP Dublin offices.

The roadshows have been greatly welcomed by customers all over the world, and the event in Dublin was no exception! Liam Ryan, SAP Labs Ireland managing director opened the event with a welcome note; followed by Ben Schneider, Product Management for SAP Solution Manager, who delighted participants with an agenda packed full of topics and demonstrations on the value and adoption of SAP Solution Manager 7.2.

Since its release in August 2016, SAP Solution Manager 7.2 continues to experience high implementation rates, with several hundred customers going live every month. Built around the objective of accelerating the digital transformation, it is the platform of choice for building and running SAP S/4HANA solutions!

And with mainstream maintenance for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 ending at the end of 2017, it is now the best time to start building a business case, understanding the installation/upgrade paths and how to adopt the desired functionality.

Would you like to know how to get started? We received some first-hand information from Ben about the latest tools and ways in which you can identify the functional areas that would benefit your company the most.

The SAP Solution Manager Value Report is a good starting point as it helps you get an estimation on the benefit potential of key functional areas, as well as implementation and upgrade efforts.

The SAP Solution Manager Adoption Framework, will also support your decision making process by providing high-level information about the different functional areas and adoption steps.

During the event, we also had several colleagues from the Center of Expertise (CoE), as well as value maps' Focus Advisors and Global Topic Owners, joining for the day, who were on hand to answer customer questions and interact with participants.

To this extent, SAP Enterprise Support value maps were positioned as a program to simplify and accelerate customers' journey to SAP Solution Manager 7.2, by means of expert guidance, empowerment and social collaboration.

Currently, we have 12 different value maps, ranging from installation/upgrade of SAP Solution Manager 7.2, through implementation of specific functional areas like Data Volume Management and Change Control Management, and product specific topics such as SAP S/4HANA & SAP HANA and SAP SuccessFactors. Each value map breaks down the topic into objectives, with step by step guidance and a selection of support services and tools to help you achieve your business goals.

Overall, the one day deep-dive proved to be a huge success, with customers leaving content and ready to take on their next steps towards SAP Solution Manager 7.2; here just but a few of the comments we received from the participant surveys:
