Why can't I log in to Windows 7 system after startup when the graphics card and display operate normally, but it does well after reboot?

If the same problem occurs in your computer, you can try to restore the BIOS settings to solve this problem. The restoration methods vary with different computer configurations and Windows 7 versions. The following examples describe how to restore the BIOS settings in a few common computer models:

Optiplex series desktops:

How to enter BIOS?
1. Turn on or restart your computer.
2. Press "F2" to enter "System Settings" (BIOS) when the DELL icon appears.

Restore the BIOS to default settings.
Press "Caps Lock", "Num Lock" and "Scroll Lock" buttons to light up the corresponding lights on the keyboard. Then, press the following three combination keys:
Alt+E – Clear (Release) the interrupted resources and reallocate resources at next startup. After pressing the combination key, you will hear a sharp beep tone.
Alt+F – Restore BIOS to the default settings. After pressing the combination key, you will hear a sharp beep tone.
Alt+B – Restart the system.

Password clearing method 1: When the password input box appears, type in the password and press "Ctrl" and "Enter" simultaneously.
Password clearing method 2: Remove the PSWD jumper on the MB and start up the system. Set the password to empty in BIOS, shut down the system and reconnect the PSWD jumper.

Restart your computer, press"F2" to enter BIOS, and press"Alt+F" to restore CMOS. After pressing the combination key, you will hear a sharp beep tone.
For some BIOS versions, you can press "F9" to restore CMOS.

Shortcuts

1. In Dim4300, Dim8100, Dim8200, GX50, GX240, GX150 and GX400 models, press "Ctrl+Alt+F8". A boot order menu appears. You can select a boot order in the menu.
2. There is a new feature in the new BIOS version for all models. Press "F12" while starting the system to enter a quick startup menu, where you can switch the first boot device.
